Description

Morellino di Scansano should know that it is mostly a Cuveé made up of 85% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Ciliegiolo. This selection of Morellino takes its name from the San Giuseppe estate, an ancient stone farmhouse. In the month of January following the harvest, the best vintage Morellino wines are selected and aged in small French oak barrels for about six months. San Giuseppe is a Morellino di Scansano with a lot of charm and fire, as if he were a little impetuous, but still flattering and round on the palate. Here you can see that the grapes are harvested when fully ripe in Maremma, the tannins are flattering and the influence of Cabernet completes the wine in a very harmonious way.
