Kavalan - Concertmaster Port Cask Finish | Taiwanese Whisky

Kavalan Concertmaster Port Cask Finish Single Malt Whisky utilises Ruby Port, Tawny Port and Vintage Port casks from Portugal to finish whiskies that were initially matured in American oak, marrying their fruity young whisky with extra maturation in wine casks to create a balance of rich and fresh flavours.
It was named Best in Class at the 2011 International Wine & Spirit Competition.

HISTORY:
Kavalan ages its whisky in the hot and humid climate of Yilan, Taiwan.
This subtropical environment accelerates the maturation of the new make spirit, ensuring a richer, more complex drop in terms of body and flavour.
Only operating since 2005, Kavalan has wowed the world with its young but full flavoured whisky, concentrating on its signature flavours of tropical fruit.
