Description

This is the second wine of the prestigious Cos d'Estournel, and is produced from the property's youngest vines. These grapes were previously used to make Château de Marbuzet. A real second wine has been made at Cos since 1994. The young vines, aged between five and twenty years-old, are cared for in the same way as the older ones. Powerful and highly aromatic, with excellent length, "Les Pagodes de Cos" is a wine of tremendous elegance which can be drunk after ageing for two or three years, thereby enabling you to wait patiently for the grand vin.

Tasting Notes

A creamy attack, buttery and spicy, characteristic of Pagodes de Cos precedes elegantly balanced aromas of blackcurrant, blueberry, blackberry, violet, bergamot and black tea. The wine also presents velvety tannins and a very long finish with a magnificent, refreshing touch of salinity.

Food Pairing

Perfect accompaniment to red meat dishes, including grilled meat, roast venison, cheeses.
