Raimond de Villeneuve’s wines never disappoint, his rosé always has the freshness of the cooling wind as it rises up from the coast and an initial cold maceration at harvest. Some seven grape varieties make up the annual blending from a man that knows and loves his fully bio-dynamic fields. There’s salinity and the vaguest hint of mint and fennel perhaps and quite taut red berry fruit, some citrus with good balance and a hint of cantaloupe at the finish, a true provençal glass, perhaps a “masterglass”.
