Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva is an elegant and complex sipping rum, carefully crafted from the purest of sugar cane honeys. It is delicately distilled in ancient copper pot stills and aged in small oak casks for up to twelve years. Marrying a unique body with excellent balance has made it a reference for rum lovers and connoisseurs throughout the world.
Diplomático rums are made from sugar cane molasses and sugar cane honeys; molasses is used to produce light rums and the sugar cane honeys for more complex rums. The distillery sources molasses with a high concentration of sugar, but with a low ash content and low viscosity.

HISTORY:
Diplomático rums are distilled using a rich variety of methods, including divers continuous column stills for light rums, batch kettle for intermediate rums, and pot stills for more complex rums. The history of Diplomático began in Venezuela in 1959, with the establishment of the distillery where all of its rums are produced.
Today Diplomático is distributed in over 60 countries. It holds the “Ron de Venezuela” DOC (Protected Denomination of Origin) and is recognized as one of the finest rums in the world.
