Tuscan producer Carpineto needs no introduction, and is certainly an "Originale" when it comes to producing high-scoring, critically acclaimed wines. The Carpineto Originale is a Sangiovese-dominant red blend that is common to countryside of Tuscany. More specifically, the percentages and grape types are adjusted each year to reflect a consistency of charm and complexity.
Tasting Notes
Fruity and floral on the nose with aromas of cherry, raspberry, and herbal notes. Balanced oak on the palate with flavours of plum, cherry, anise, and leather. Good length on the medium-plus finish. By the time you finish the first bottle, you wish you had decanted a second.
