In 1850, the Gancia family founded their winery surrounded by beautiful vineyards in Canelli, Piedmont. It was there that Carlo Gancia produced the first Italian sparkling wine, applying the techniques he had learned in Champagne, France.
Heralding from the cellars known as the "Underground Cathedrals" in Canelli, Gancia, the first Italian sparkling wine has been prized by the kings of Italy since 1850.
Crafted with time-honered artisanal techniques, Gancia Asti represents a truly distinguished passion for quality. Its refined taste and aromatic bouquet (with hints of exotic fruit, sage, and honey).

Highly enjoyableAromas of sage, apricot, honey, caramel and lime juice. Palate like sucking on a clementine. Also notes of white table grapes and apricot. Long finish of peaches and sweetness on the lips.
