Description
Les Remparts de Ferrière is the second wine of Château Ferriere. Made with the grapes of the young vines which are generally less than 15 years old. The wine is made in the winery of Château Ferrière and it benefits from the know-how and the facilities of the third Classified Growth. It is a beautiful illustration of the property. Château Ferrière is converting to organic and biodynamics farming.
SOIL: Gravels and sand
HARVEST: Hand picking
VINIFICATION: In thermo-regulated stainless and concrete vats
AGING: in French oak barrels during 12 months, 20 % of new oak
Tasting Notes
A nice nose with a mix of fresh fruits, blossom notes and spices. A very beautiful clarity of the fruit. On the palate, the tannins are smooths and round. A nice balance between freshness, fruitiness and the silkiness of the structure. The wine is both elegant and dense. A very beautiful complexity and a nice length.
