Emilio Moro - Malleolus de Sanchomartin | Spanish Red Wine

Malleolus de Sanchomartín is a wonderful wine produced by the Emilio Moro winery in the OJ Ribera del Duero.

It is a varietal Tinto Fino from Pago Sanchomartín, a farm owned by the winery which was planted in 1944, and subsequently replanted in 1964. The vineyards are located on the right bank of the River Duero, in the town of Pesquera del Duero. They are planted at the top of a slope on a small area of soil with limestone and clay. The grapes are macerated for 28 days in tanks of 3,000 Kg before malolactic fermentation takes place in American oak barrels. Malleolus de Sanchomartín is aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels. Malleolus de Sanchomartín is a very expressive, elegant and complex wine.
